Requirements
Applicants to UConn's School Psychology programs must have earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university. There is no specific major requirement in order to apply for the programs; all majors are welcome to apply, although a background in psychology or education and related experiences can be beneficial.
The programs admit students once a year for entry in the following fall semester. The application deadline is December 1.
Application Process

- A personal statement
- Doctoral applicants might consider addressing in their statements: their preferred advisor, research interests, and reasons for pursuing a Ph.D. as opposed to a MA/6th-Year.
- Three letters of recommendation
- A resume
- Unofficial transcripts of all collegiate work completed to date.
- Ph.D. applicants must also submit GRE scores from ETS using school code 3915.
- GREs are required for all School Psychology doctoral program applicants and optional for all School Psychology master's/sixth-year applicants.
NOTE: Students who enter the program will need to submit Praxis Core scores or a waiver during their first semester in the program.

Admission Timeline
- Application deadline: December 1
- Application review: School psychology faculty begin reviewing applications in December.
- Virtual interviews: Select applicants are invited to a virtual interview in late January/early February.
- Admissions recommendations: Typically made to students within two weeks of their virtual interview.
- Student decisions: Admitted students must accept or deny their offers by April 15. Other applicants will be placed on a waitlist and may be contacted if there is space available.
